Owners
Simon and Hallie Glennie have both had a lifelong
passion for horses that has grown to become a way of life for both
of them. Simon grew up in Shilton, England, with a very horsey background.
His mother, Gillian, is an avid horsewoman, and regularly jump- judges
at events, including the prestigious Badminton Horse Trials and Blenheim
Horse Trials, in addition to running her own event. Growing up, Simon
was involved in Pony Club and the Heythrop Hunt. He pursued his interest
in horses, working on the backstretches of racetracks and at stud
farms in France, Australia, New Zealand, and the United States. For
the past 17 years he has operated
International
Racehorse Transport, and has handled world-class racehorses as
well as equestrian horses for the Sydney and Athens Olympics.
Hallie Glennie is a graduate
of Westmoreland-Davis Equestrian Institute in
Leesburg, Virginia, and has spent her life involved in all aspects of
the horse industry. She is the current Area IV Young Riders Coordinator.
She teaches adults and young riders alike, many of whom compete in
sanctioned USEA events and regularly qualify for year-end championships
at their perspective levels. Hallie has studied under world class
level event riders and trainers, and continues to pursue her own training
to further herself as a rider and a professional. She carries her
enthusiasm for the sport and the horses themselves in the lessons
she teaches. Hallie is a member of the Wayne DuPage Hunt and also
does volunteer work for area pony club activities.
Woodstock Equestrian
is very pleased to welcome Kristen Rozycki as our new Farm Manager and
resident instructor. Kristen has been working with dressage and eventing
horses for the past 7 years. She has competed successfully thru intermediate
and FEI level competitions as well as Prix St George & Int. level dressage.
Her résumé includes working as assistant trainer to Grand Prix dressage
rider Julie Julian and assistant farm manager for USET rider Jan Byyny's
SureFire Eventing facility in Virginia. Kristen also has an extensive
background in starting and developing young horses.
